The City of Calipatria is applying for the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program of 2008 for the construction of a new Mulipurpose Community Center. The Center will provide the community with increased capacity for general assembly areas, such as city wide events, public service events, community in-service events, community outreach, public meetings, and covered recreational activities. The current community facility lacks in capacity, is considered substandard building conditions, does not meet ADA requirements, and will act as a cool center during the hot summer months where temperatures can reach 125 degrees in heat. Comments can be provided on the City of Calipatria website on the Contact Us tab.
