City of Calipatria

Brian Smith

Brian Smith has served on the Calipatria City Council for 2 years. He attended Brook Harris College and spent 8 ½ years serving in the United States Marine Corps. Brian served overseas and in Yuma. He began his professional career in Imperial Valley at Red Hill Geothermal now CalEnergy.

Brian spent 17 years with CalEnergy. He is currently involved on the Air Resources Board. His interests, as a councilmember, include economic development for the North End and restoration of the Salton Sea. His activities include prospecting, fishing and the culture of the Imperial Valley.
