Raul Navarro

Raul Navarro has served on the Calipatria City Council since 2003. In 2007, Raul held the seat of Mayor. He holds an associate’s degree from Imperial Valley College and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Administration from San Diego State University, Imperial Valley Campus. In addition, he holds a master’s in public administration from National University.

Raul was elected 2004-2006 vice president and 2006-2008 president by the League of California Cities. He currently serves on the Community Advisory Committee for the Calipatria State Prison, as well as the LCC and IVAG committees. Taking an active role with youth in the city, Raul has served as the president of Calipatria Little League Basketball for four years and has been a volunteer for 15 years.
